You must sign up for courses using the Learning Management (LM) system through the Self-Service Portal. Visit our Enrollment page for more details on registration.
Applicants may self-select or receive nomination by their supervisor or manager. In either case, recommendation letter(s) are required as a part of the application process.
The cost is listed with each course. Your agency will be automatically invoiced after you have completed the course. If you are taking the Essentials of Supervision series, you will be invoiced prior to the first course date.
All sessions are held using a virtual platform (typically WebEx). Final links to the training will be emailed to each participant enrolled in the class.
As of January 1, 2015: If you are in an enrolled status for a course, and unable to attend, you will not have the option to reschedule when the class is offered again. If you wish to take the course at a later date, you must re-enroll in Learning Management and will be expected to pay for the course again.
Cancellations must be made before the last drop date, which is typically 5 to 7 business days before the class begins. If a cancellation is not made before the last drop date, your agency will be billed. You may send another staff member in your place, however we ask that you please notify us of any intent to send a substitute.
If you need an accommodation in order to participate in a training (such as wheelchair access, large print, Braille, audiotapes, or an interpreter), please email us at [email protected] to make your request. Requests for accommodations should be made at least 30 days prior to your scheduled training date. (Braille and audiotape accommodations may take longer.)
Due to the number of state employees interested in attending these seminars, spouses/significant others are not permitted to attend. Spouses/significant others that work for the State of Minnesota must register separately. If it is determined (approximately two weeks before the seminar) that there is sufficient room for spouses/significant others to attend at no cost, an e-mail notification will be sent to inform all of this change.
